US-Ukraine Security Dialogue XVIII: Taking Measure of Ukraine’s Defense Capabilities & Needs After a Fourth Year of War was held at the University Club in Washington DC on February 25, 2026. The event featured five panel discussions and three highlight focus sessions.
The first four panel discussions were dedicated to evaluating Ukraine’s continued ability to properly engage in war along classical security dimensions: land (regular/territorial); sea/maritime defense; air/air defense; special ops/cyber & information warfare. The fifth and final panel discussion explored Ukraine’ ever more advanced drone capabilities (land, sea, aerospace) and the impact of those advances on the future of warfare.
The three highlight focus sessions gave prominence, as tradition would have it, to considering why Ukraine’s security matters enough to its neighbors and the world at large to merit serious military assistance in time of need.
