UA Historical Encounters Series Special Event: The 50th Anniversary of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) – A North American Commemoration & Celebration was held at the Princeton Club in New York City on September 16th, 2017. At the event, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) celebrated 50 years of success in uniting Ukrainian communities worldwide to further the interests of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Under the motto: “Ukrainians together – the future is ours!”, the gathering also sought to engage Ukrainians and the broader international community in the promotion of a common vision for the future, while paying tribute to its founders, presidents and dedicated regional leaderships in their many achievements that today are supported by a network of Ukrainian communities in 53 countries.
