Ukraine's Historical Encounters II: Ukraine-Visegrad Relations was a series of events organized in New York City during the first week of March 2006 by Columbia University, New York University and the Center for US-Ukrainian Relations to foster, a greater understanding of the complex yet abiding ties that bind the Visegrad countries [Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia] and Ukraine, the five nations that may well decide the future course of Central Europe [or "New Europe" as US political circles are now often inclined to call the region].
