US-UA “Working Group” Initiative
The US-Ukraine “Working Group” Initiative was launched in 2007 in order to secure an array of experts in "areas of interest” for CUSUR and its various forums/proceedings; at the same time, it was hoped that the ‘experts’ might agree to write a series of ‘occasional papers’ to identify “major issues” impacting on US-Ukrainian relations. |

Publication Efforts
Recognizing the urgent need to set up proper channels for the maximum circulation of the information/analysis CUSUR possessed or had at its disposal, the Center long focused on having ‘a publication presence’ of some form or another. |

DC Occasional Briefings Series
CUSUR did not turn its attention to having a DC presence until summer 2012. Borrowing space when the need arose (particularly for various forum steering committees meetings) from the American Foreign Policy Council, its longest abiding partner, seemed to suffice; an Acela ride from the Center’s NY office did the rest. If there was a concern, it was to open an office in Kyiv. |

An eighth US-UA Security Dialogue ran on February 14-15, 2017 in Washington, DC. The American Foreign Policy Council, CUSUR and the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation brought together senior defense officials and experts from Ukraine with US defense experts and select members of the new US Administration/Congress to discuss a 'road map' for 'Securing Ukraine's Sovereignty'. On April 27, 2017, the Center teamed up with Dentons in DC to run a business gathering that focused on assessing the efficacy of Ukraine’s economic reform efforts after two years of governance by Euro-Maidan forces and studying carefully the sectors that stood the best changes of quickly re-establishing a serious presence in world markets. A US-UA WG Yearly Summit gathering once more served to provide Ukraine with an assessment of its performance in six areas of ‘nation building’. The event, the fifth of its kind and co-sponsored by all of CUSUR’s institutional partners, took place on June 15, 2017. A final program is now available.
CUSUR and the Ukrainian World Congress Joined forces on September 2017 on the ever elegant premises of the Princeton Club NY
to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of UWC with a forum and banquet very appropriately entitled "50 & Beyond: A Roadmap.
On October 12, 2017, UA Quest RT XVIII explored 'Ukraine and the Question of Social Cohesion', the last of three in-depth examinations intended to assess the said nation's ability to find its own version of ‘e pluribus unum.’ A final program is now available.
An UA HES Special Event entitled: 'Za Samostinist: Ukraine's Century of Struggle' ran as scheduled on December 7-8, 2017 in Washington DC. The gathering was dedicated to commemorating/contemplating 'milestones in modern Ukrainian military history' with the help of US, EU, Canadian and Ukrainian historians, policy analysts, retired military officers and serving military officers.
